| The March 11 earthquake and tsunami brought unimaginable devastation to northeastern Japan. The result has been physical damage on an unprecedented scale and unfathomable suffering for hundreds of thousands of people who have lost homes, livelihood, and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan, a close U.S. friend and ally, whose citizens have repeatedly demonstrated extraordinary resilience. While signs are beginning to emerge that the business environment is becoming more conducive to traditional business outreach and matchmaking methods, there remains a very real possibility of significant disruptions to power distribution, communications, and transportation systems in the months ahead.
